Rope Access :

Whilst building up his photography business, Adam has also worked in rope access, a relatively new trade which applies climbing and caving techniques to industrial environments. Recent years have seen rapid growth as the techniques have gained industry recognition of their speed and safety.

Immediately after leaving university, Adam was employed on a research contract by Lyon Equipment Ltd. The work, commisioned by the Health and Safety Executive, led to the publication of a 30,000 word report :
Industrial Rope Access ~ Investigation into items of personal protective equipment
(HSE CRR 364/ 2001 ISBN 0-7176-2091-3 www.hse.gov.uk)

The publication of this report helped cement Rope Access' coming of age as a respected work method. Since then Adam has continued to work in the industry as a freelance supervisor and trainer (qualified to IRATA Level 3/T), with his expertise being much in demand from all the industry's top training providers. His skills have also allowed him to get some pretty unique photographic angles!
